Home Tales

Home Tales is a house-sitting platform we designed and built solo, from the front end through to the back end, as a side project. Homeowners list their properties and house sitters browse, apply and message them, roughly along the lines of Airbnb.

• Two-sided marketplace: Homeowners create listings for their properties; sitters browse, apply and message, with the platform handling both sides of the relationship.
• Built solo, end to end: Built and designed starting with focusing on the user experience and front end through to the API and database.
• Stack: Vue, Node and PostgreSQL, hosted and managed on DigitalOcean.
